Description

We are seeking an experienced HRIS Business Analyst with Ellucian Banner HR/Payroll expertise to support our Director of HRIS in daily operations while assisting with a Workday implementation. This role will focus on troubleshooting HR system issues, gathering requirements, supporting data reporting, and configuring Banner HR. The ideal candidate will have a strong functional understanding of HRIS systems, work closely with HR and technical teams, and help drive system enhancements and data integrity.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of HRIS in managing day-to-day HR system operations while Workday is being implemented.
  • Troubleshoot HR system and data issues, working closely with HR teams to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Gather and analyze HR business requirements, translating them into actionable solutions.
  • Work with technical teams to ensure proper data reporting, system fixes, and new configurations in Banner HR.
  • Support data integrity efforts, including data validation, audits, and compliance reporting.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Banner HR/Payroll, escalating issues to IT and Ellucian support when necessary.
  • Manage security access reviews, ensuring HR system access aligns with job roles and compliance policies.
  • Configure new Banner HR functionalities and assist in optimizing manual processes.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on reporting strategies, system improvements, and best practices.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with Ellucian Banner HR/Payroll Module (strongly preferred).
  • Ability to troubleshoot HRIS system issues and collaborate with both functional and technical teams.
  • Experience in HR data gathering, reporting, and compliance (e.g., ACA, IPEDS, NJ New Hire Report).
  • Strong analytical skills to identify issues, propose solutions, and assist in data validation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Chart Summaries, Data Analysis).
  • Understanding of HR processes, reporting needs, and system configurations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to liaise with HR and IT teams effectively.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Cognos for HR reporting and analytics.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow HR Service Delivery Module.
  • Experience in PeopleSoft HR may be considered if strong Banner experience is not available.
  • This is a functional/technical role, requiring the ability to communicate with developers but not extensive programming or SQL expertise. The ideal candidate will have a strong HRIS background, be detail-oriented, and thrive in a collaborative environment
