Business Analyst

Work as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, communicate and validate the requirements for changes to current business reporting requirements and policies for the development of new operational reports and analytics.

Conduct data analysis of business and user needs and developing business requirements documents in accordance with the requirements and protocol of the ITS EIM Division during multiple project phases to convert the numerous Oracle Portals, Business Areas, and Discoverer Workbooks to the current Oracle analytical reporting platform.

Create business documentation (Business Requirement documents, use cases, swim lanes, process documentation) that detail the Business Intelligence reporting requirements and deliverables for reports, dashboards, and ad hoc tools

Work closely with Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence technical team members and various OMH Business Owners to create Business Requirement documentation and to communicate the business requirements to the technical team for development of logical and physical dimensional data model reporting requirements.

Collaborate with data modelers, ETL developers, programmers and the business owners to translate report requirements, provide clarification of business rules, prioritize development, obtain signoff and ensure successful delivery of accurate end user reporting requirements.

Create and execute test scripts, scenarios, and test plans to validate initial business requirements and report output through the DEV, QA and PROD migrations testing for accuracy and sign off on deliverables.

Assist in providing training & end user support for OMH staff utilizing the Analytics tool.

Job Qualifications

7 years of experience with business intelligence tools design reports or data analysis business solutions for operational reports.

7 years of experience in quality assurance testing of reports, SQL analytics, Oracle SQL knowledge, managing defects, and developing report user acceptance documents, including test plans.

5 years of experience soliciting report requirements, developing end-user documentation, including business reporting requirements documents (BRDs), use cases, report mockups, wireframes, and flow diagrams.

5 years of experience with all phases of support specifications development, including design, testing, and maintenance of reports.

5 years of experience with Business Intelligence tools and a data analytical background.

5 years of experience developing end-user training materials for Analytics, Dashboards, and/or Business Intelligence or application reports.

5 years of experience developing and implementing system and workflow processes in a Business Intelligence environment.

CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certification from the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA).

Bachelor’s degree in business intelligence, information science, criminal justice, health science, computer science, mathematics, or public/business administration
