Responsibilities

  • Proactively engages with users and understand their pain area.
  • Guide the team and resolve any issues they are facing.
  • Ability to lead teams, mentor developers.
  • Lead meetings with stakeholders and Vendors.
  • Design and implement data and analytics solutions to meet immediate business needs, while aligned with future state architecture and industry trends.
  • Architect and design Big Data Services in the cloud with fit for purpose considerations for cloud products and services.
  • Develop engineering search and catalog capabilities for Big Data analytics.
  • Improve the data quality framework for Big Data.
  • Create an end-to-end vision of how data will flow through an organization.

Required Skills

  • Excellent knowledge on NoSQL platforms.
  • Excellent communication (Oral/Written) skills, ability to articulate solution decisions to clients, internal stakeholders.
  • Expertise in J2EE, Java.
  • Ability to use Data Ingestion tools, Kafka Broker Services, Flume, Spark, Sqoop, MapReduce.
  • Knowledge of Hadoop Distributed File System HDFS Hive, Apache Kudu, HBase.
  • Knowledge of Security Architecture for Cloudera Enterprise on MS Azure.

Required Experience

  • At least 5 years experience planning, building or running enterprise-scale data analytics solutions.
  • Experience using open source technologies like Hadoop, Hive, Spark, MapReduce, etc.
  • Expertise in Implementing Data lake, data hub using Big Data technologies.
  • Experience using cloud platforms like AWS to build analytics solutions.
  • Amazon AWS stack experience using EMR, Kinesis, Athena, Redshift, QuickSight, Elasticsearch, etc.
  • Experience on cluster sizing (Cloud/on premise), infrastructure planning, installation and administration of Hadoop Cluster based on any of the available Hadoop Distributions.
  • Experience on managing large data ingestion.
  • Hands-On experience on ETLS tools like Talend.
  • Experience with data visualization and statistical tools like Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI, SAS, R, SPSS.
  • Experience with sensor/streaming type data (IoT) within an automated manufacturing environment.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
