BI Engineer

Top requirements

1. QuickSight / Tableau Power BI Dashboard building exp
2. ETL/SQL/Python
3. AWS (S3/Redshift/Lambda/Dynamo DB)

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, business analytics, data analytics, data science, computer science or related field
• 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
• Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)
• Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)
• Experience in designing and implementing custom reporting systems using automation tools
• Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience to process data for modeling
• Experience with AWS services such S3, Athena, Lambda, EC2, and DynamoDB
• Confidence in collaborating with technical and non-technical senior level staff

Preferred qualifications

• Master's degree
• Experience gathering business requirements, using industry standard business intelligence tool(s) to extract data, formulate metrics and build reports
• Experience building and maintaining basic data artifacts (e.g., ETL, data models, queries)
• Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design
• Knowledge of how to improve code quality and optimizes BI processes (e.g. speed, cost, reliability)
• Experience with AWS services such as Redshift and Glue
• Comfort with ambiguity and eagerness to learn new skills
