BI Consultant

Job Overview:

The Manager – BI Developer will lead data transformation and modernization projects, focusing on BI reporting and dashboard development. The role is key to helping financial services clients create data-driven insights across investment management activities. The individual will be responsible for working closely with senior stakeholders, overseeing the design and implementation of BI tools, and ensuring reporting best practices are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

• BI Dashboard Design & Development:
• Define and design BI dashboards and visualization tools for investment management activities.
• Lead the development of comprehensive multi-layer BI reporting and visualization solutions.
• Build advanced analytics products and tools for recurring use across investment management workflows.
• Client Data Insights & Analysis:
• Analyze client data to generate insights into investment strategies, revenue management, cost reduction, and portfolio performance.
• Review and enhance clients' existing data reporting and analytics tools based on best practices and industry standards.
• Data Quality & Management:
• Lead data quality remediation programs to improve data management practices.
• Develop data management solutions using the latest data aggregation, integration, and validation tools.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Project Management:
• Engage with senior client stakeholders to align BI solutions with client needs.
• Manage project deliverables, timelines, and client escalations, ensuring the successful execution of BI and analytics programs.
• Advanced Analytics Integration:
• Integrate AI and machine learning components into next-generation portfolio management solutions.
• Develop decision support tools for use by management, leadership, and customer-facing teams.

Your Profile & Skills:

• Experience:
• 5+ years in BI design, development, data management, and analytics for financial services clients.
• 4+ years of experience developing BI tools in the investment/asset/wealth management domain.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and Dataiku.
• Proficiency with at least one of the following: Python, R, SAS.
• Familiarity with analytics best practices (predictive, prescriptive, descriptive, etc.).
• Experience designing and implementing investment management dashboards (portfolio reporting, monitoring, and analytics).
• Business Acumen:
• Deep understanding of investment management processes including client onboarding, portfolio performance, investment risk, and sustainability.
• Experience managing senior client stakeholders and driving engagement deliverables.
• Data Management Expertise:
• Experience across the data management lifecycle, including data quality improvement.
• Knowledge of database repositories and best practices for secure and efficient data management.
• Leadership & Communication:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple functions and business units to drive common goals.
• Preferred Experience:
• Consulting experience in financial services.
• Familiarity with investment, asset, or wealth management products and services.
• Knowledge of AI/ML-based tools and cloud platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Dataiku).

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Financial Services, MIS, Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field (M.S. or MBA preferred).
• Preferred certifications: DAMA, DCAM, CDMC, PMP, or Snowflake.
