Azure Platform Lead

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Azure Cloud Native Platform Leader to lead the design and development of cloud-native platforms and applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud-native architectures, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure technologies and microservices. This role demands someone with extensive experience in leading large-scale web applications, serving millions of daily users, and contributing at an executive level. The successful candidate will possess the strategic acumen and technical leadership capabilities necessary to guide a growing team and influence the direction of our cloud-native platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-performance cloud-native platforms using Microsoft Azure.
• Oversee the architecture of large-scale applications that handle millions of daily active users, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Apply deep knowledge in Azure SQL, MongoDB, Azure Service Bus, and microservices to guide platform decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and operations, to drive the successful implementation of cloud-native solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with senior executives (CTO, Head of Engineering) to define platform vision and align technical strategies with business goals.
• Represent the company’s technical vision and strategy at the executive level, ensuring alignment across departments.
• Manage large-scale product deployments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance in a global environment.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in cloud-native technologies, tools, and processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Expert-level experience in designing and implementing cloud-native platforms and applications with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Proven track record of successful deployments and performance optimization in high-traffic web applications (5MM+ daily users).
• In-depth expertise in Azure SQL, MongoDB, Azure Service Bus, and microservices.
• Significant experience leading cloud-native architecture efforts and product deployments in a high-availability, global context.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A minimum of CTO or Head of Engineering level experience, with prior experience in leading high-performing technical teams.
• Recognized industry stature, with expertise at a level equivalent to Distinguished Engineer, Google Fellow, or Google Senior Fellow.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degrees (e.g., Master’s) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and other containerization technologies.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, etc.).
• Involvement in the wider cloud-native or tech community through conferences, publications, or thought leadership
