Description

Azure OpenShift Consultant to support our client located in the Nort East, US. This person should bring expert knowledge of the OpenShift/Kubernetes platform and best practices for cluster deployments to the team. An ideal candidate should have excellent technical credentials, experience in containers, networking, storage, compute, cloud infrastructure design and implementation, and excellent communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Architected and deployed customized private OpenShift Kubernetes on on-premises VMWare environment and on Azure cloud using Red Hat best practices.
  • Integrated Red Hat Single Sign-On, LDAP/Active Directory realms with OCP authentication for enterprise model user management.
  • Post-migration, honed application performance by pinpointing bottlenecks, adjusting resources, and harnessing OpenShift's innate tools and features.
  • Streamline Day 2 operations by implementing GitOps principles with Argo CD on OpenShift, enabling automatic reconciliation and ensuring environment consistency.
  • Integrate OpenShift Data Foundation with enterprise-grade, software-defined storage to facilitate scalable, reliable, and cost-effective data services across the organization.
  • Streamline data management by integrating the comprehensive data services of OpenShift Data Foundation, offering data resiliency, data protection, and efficient data mobility.
  • Provided technical guidance on best practices for OpenShift deployment and management, leading to improvements in system stability, visibility, and scalability.
  • Designed and deployed log collectors, such as Fluentd or Logstash, to aggregate logs from various sources within the Kubernetes environment, including cluster nodes and containerized applications.
  • Developed custom log parsing configurations in Splunk to extract key information from Kubernetes logs, enabling efficient indexing and search capabilities.
  • Leveraged Splunk's real-time monitoring features to gain immediate insights into the health and performance of Kubernetes clusters, setting up proactive alerts and notifications based on log patterns and thresholds.
  • Managed Red Hat OpenShift on Azure instances for diverse microservices and databases, enhancing system efficiency and performance.
  • Led multiple deployments of OpenShift Container Platform 4 using IPI and UPI Installation strategies
