Azure Data Engineering Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Azure Data Engineering Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building data platforms using Azure cloud services and leading end-to-end data engineering projects. This is a senior-level position that requires hands-on expertise along with leadership capability.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable data solutions using Azure Data Services

Architect and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and PySpark

Manage and monitor Azure Functions for event-driven data processing

Collaborate with stakeholders, data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams to define data strategies and requirements

Mentor and guide junior data engineers and support technical delivery

Ensure best practices in coding, architecture, security, and performance optimization

Drive end-to-end data lifecycle processes from ingestion to consumption

Required Skills & Experience:

10 to 15 years of experience in Data Engineering, with at least 3+ years in a technical leadership role

Proven expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, PySpark, and Azure Functions

Strong experience in cloud-based data architecture and pipeline design

Hands-on leadership in delivering complex data projects using Azure cloud

Excellent understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance practices

Ability to manage stakeholders and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
