Azure Data Brick Architect

Key Responsibilities

Architect and design solutions using Microsoft Fabric to support large-scale data systems.
Implement best practices for data governance, scalability, and security.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure successful deployment and operation of data services.
Provide thought leadership and technical guidance to ensure high-quality architecture and efficient data solutions.
Ability to articulate the value of Microsoft Fabric and Business Intelligence solutions to federated teams, and proven track record of data storytelling to guide decision-making.
Participation in the process of formulating, communicating, and executing the data strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives leveraging Microsoft technologies.
Experience in assessing existing data solutions, whether on-premises or in the cloud, to inform improvement initiatives.
Basic skills in architecting future state data solutions on Azure and Microsoft Fabric based on the Well-Architected Framework.
Some experience in planning and migrating data solutions from various sources, including on-premises, other cloud platforms, or legacy systems, to Microsoft Cloud 1st Solutions.
Proficiency with implementing ETL processes and databases on Microsoft Technologies.
Experience optimizing existing data implementations, including pipelines, queries, and data models, to enhance performance and delivery of value to the business.
Knowledge of administering and maintaining data solutions to ensure stability, security, scalability, and affordability.

Required Skills

Proficiency with at least 4 of the programming languages utilized within the Microsoft Data Platform stack, such as Typescript, Python, Spark, C#, Java, Scala, R, DAX, MDX, or M.
Competency with at least 4 and exposure to most of these technologies:
Airbyte, Airflow, dbt, great expectaions, Event Driven Microservices, Azure Data Bricks, Microsoft Fabric & Microsoft Purview
Azure / Fabric expertise (preferrable Certifications)
Proven track record of Data Modernization and Digital Transformation experience – Would like to see in 2 or 3 engagements highlighted in the profile
Strong Data Engineering, Data Management and Data Governance Experience
Data Modeling experience – Logical and Physical 
Strong BI/Analytics experience
Experience in implementing complex Data Transformations and Data Quality frameworks as part of the Data Engineering
Hands-on SQL, Azure/Fabric Data Factory, PySpark and Power BI.
Git-based version control and deployments for Microsoft Fabric using Github Actions
Bonus: Experience with Data Science and/or Machine Learning
