Primary responsibility is to drive the ongoing operational efficiency and maintain the overall “health” of the Cloud Environment
Works closely with the Solution Architects & Engineers to maintain functional specifications, and low-level technical designs.
Ensures that cloud services, applications, and systems are operating efficiently, with a focus on uptime and performance.
Manages and optimizes cloud resources to reduce costs while ensuring efficiency and scalability.
Diagnoses and resolves any technical issues in the cloud environment, such as system outages or performance constraints.
Working closely with development, DevOps, and other IT teams to support cloud-based projects and initiatives.
Maintains detailed documentation of cloud environments, processes, and issues, as well as generates performance and usage reports
Manages data backups and develops disaster recovery plans to protect against data loss and ensure business continuity. Partners with the Information Security Team to ensure the security posture of their solutions meets industry standards and aligns with First Quality best practices.
Assists with cost management processes, including cost reporting, forecasting, and optimization
Delivers effective communications both written and verbal.
Ensures observance to IT Architecture principles and guidelines.
Updates job knowledge by attending educational opportunities and training events.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of IT experience and must include Cloud.
Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) a plus
Self-Reliant with the ability to create analysis of environments, present findings, and then execute a proposed plan of action.
Experience with public cloud vendors: Microsoft Azure (required), AWS (a plus).
Experience building public and hybrid cloud architectures.
Possess knowledge of Server Infrastructure: server hardware, Data Center Management, Windows Server & Linux Operating Systems, and Server hardening techniques.
Knowledge of Azure cloud networking: connecting environments with site-to-site VPN and ExpressRoute within a vWan, local network gateways and virtual network gateways, segmenting networks with Virtual Networks and Subnets, routing, and IP management
Practice building Azure solutions using Azure Resource Manager ARM templates/Terraform/Bicep to create Azure Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, and Databases, etc.
Experience organizing and maintaining code repositories with Git.
Familiar deploying IaC with Azure DevOps.
Experience with Azure logging, data collection, and analytics with Event Hub, NSG flow logs, and Log Analytics
Firsthand knowledge of securing Azure environments with Azure Secure Score, Network Security Groups, Azure Web Application Firewall, and Role Based Access Controls
Experience with configuring and administering Microsoft O365.
Experience with Active Directory including Group Policy Objects, DNS, Certificate Services, and Authentication.
Experience with Azure Entra ID, Single Sign On, Enterprise Applications, App Registrations, and Azure Application Proxy
Knowledge of Cloud Economics and cost optimization strategies.
Proven project and process management skillset.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills with excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Able to overcome obstacles and get things done in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in Change and Configuration Management required.
Experience in Manufacturing Environments is a plus, but not required
