Azure Architects to join our high-performing Cloud Services team. This is a fully remote opportunity for technically strong professionals who excel in cloud solutioning, infrastructure-as-code, and modern cloud architecture.
As a Senior Azure Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and deploying scalable and secure cloud environments. You will collaborate with a global IT team and contribute to CDW's cloud roadmap while working on high-impact projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement end-to-end Azure cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Build and deploy infrastructure using Terraform (IaC is a must-have).
- Lead solution design discussions, not just execute.
- Drive initiatives around Landing Zone Architecture, AKS (Kubernetes), Azure Fabric, and Private Endpoint Connectivity.
- Move and automate data flows and exchanges; troubleshoot and solve infrastructure problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams with a team-first, no-ego mindset.
- Implement policy, identity, and security configurations across Azure.
- Support hybrid and private cloud architectures extending from on-premise data centers.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, version control, and secure deployment strategies.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on Azure experience, including large-scale environments.
- Strong expertise in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
- Deep knowledge of AKS (Kubernetes) and containerized environments.
- Proficient with PowerShell scripting.
- Strong understanding of networking, identity & access management, and Azure governance.
- Experience designing and deploying Landing Zones and secure Azure environments.
- Demonstrated ability to solution, design, build, and deploy cloud infrastructure independently.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, source control, and multi-region cloud architectures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to align with a collaborative team culture.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with Databricks, Ansible, or Python scripting.
- Exposure to private cloud extensions, hybrid models, and interconnected on-prem data centers.
- Background in cloud security and risk management (IAM, firewalls, SIEM, etc.)
