Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Act as the primary point of contact for incident management, responding to and resolving incidents in a timely manner.
2. Conduct triage for incoming incidents, assessing severity and prioritizing based on impact and urgency.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents related to AWS services.
4. Monitor and analyze incidents to identify trends, root causes, and potential areas for improvement.
5. Document incident details, actions taken, and resolutions in the incident management system for future reference.
6. Conduct thorough root cause analysis (RCA) for significant incidents and provide actionable feedback to prevent recurrence.
7. Participate in shift work to ensure 24x7 coverage for incident management and support.
8. Provide technical mentorship and support to junior team members during incidents and escalations.
9. Develop and maintain incident management processes, ensuring alignment with ITIL frameworks and best practices.
10. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on incident status and resolutions.
Required Skills:
• Over 6 years of experience in incident management, specifically with AWS services.
• Proficiency in AWS Console, CLI, and a range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC).
• Experience with monitoring and incident management tools (e.g., CloudWatch, OpsGenie, PagerDuty).
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
• In-depth knowledge of ITIL frameworks and incident management best practices.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple incidents simultaneously while maintaining high-quality service.
