AWS Security Engineer

Roles & Responsibility

• Design, implement, and manage cloud security architectures in AWS, ensuring best practices for cloud infrastructure security.
• Lead the development and maintenance of security automation and DevSecOps practices within AWS environments.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Implement and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, roles, and security controls.
• Provide expertise in monitoring, logging, and auditing AWS resources using tools such as CloudTrail, CloudWatch, GuardDuty, and others.
• Develop and implement cloud security frameworks and provide guidance on secure coding practices.
• Configure and manage AWS security tools (e.g., AWS WAF, Shield, Macie, Inspector) to protect applications, data, and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into development pipelines and operational workflows.
• Stay up to date with AWS security services and industry best practices, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Participate in incident response activities and conduct post-incident analysis.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, and others.
