AWS Engineer

Responsibilities

• Full stack cloud developer who can work in both frontend and backend pieces within AWS.
• Define solution architecture evaluate hosting options develop implementation plans and budgets and identify risk mitigation plans.
• Provide support for infrastructure framework by responding to escalated issues troubleshooting errors and developing technical solutions.
• Participate in afterhours upgrades troubleshooting and or oncall availability as needed.

Required Skills

• Ability to write Lambda functions using Python.
• Should be comfortable with XML and XSLT to work with ACORD XMLs files.
• Good knowledge in LANWAN and network performance optimization tuning.
• Familiar with managing and deploying clusters in the cloud using Docker.
• Good Communication Skills.

Required Experience

• Experience developing REST webservices in AWS Lambda.
• Windows experience or Linux experience required.
• Prior experience working with an insurance carrier.
• Experience with LINXUNIXWindows system administration and web server configuration and monitoring.
• Experience in network configuration and operating system administration configuration.
• AWS certified AWS migration experience required.
• Agile / Scrum working experience.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
