AWS Developer

Vanguard is seeking an experienced AWS Developer to support application development teams as they transition from legacy on-premise databases to modern cloud-based database solutions on AWS. This role is pivotal in modernizing the technology stack and optimizing data strategies for future scalability and performance.


Key Responsibilities
Support development teams in the migration of application architecture to AWS cloud databases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AWS database services into existing and new applications.
Provide hands-on development and architectural guidance during the transition from on-prem to cloud-based database environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AWS databases during development and deployment.
Contribute to best practices, performance tuning, and optimization of cloud-native database solutions.


Required Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience with AWS Aurora (PostgreSQL or MySQL).
Proven experience with AWS DynamoDB, including modeling and performance tuning.
Familiarity with AWS Redshift is a plus.
Experience working in agile environments supporting enterprise-level application migrations.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with local development teams
