AWS Database Migration Specialist

As an AWS Database Migration Specialist, you will play a key role in planning, executing, and managing database migrations to AWS environments. You’ll be working with AWS Database Migration Services (DMS), Schema Conversion Tool (SCT), and Terraform, among other technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless database migrations and offer solutions to complex database-related challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead AWS database migration projects from planning to execution using AWS Database Migration Services (DMS) and Schema Conversion Tool (SCT).
Utilize Terraform to manage infrastructure for database migration.
Migrate data from Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL to AWS cloud-based services.
Ensure best practices for database performance, availability, and security during the migration process.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex database-related issues during migration.
Work closely with development and operations teams to ensure smooth migration execution.
Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders and teams involved in the project.

Required Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in AWS Database Migration Services (DMS) and Schema Conversion Tool (SCT).
Strong experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL databases.
Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure management.
Hands-on experience with database migration to AWS and optimizing for performance.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Experience in managing hybrid work environments and working with global teams.
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
