System Design & Integration: Design, install, and configure robust and user-friendly AV systems for new and existing office spaces, including conference rooms, training centers, and all-hands event spaces.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide Tier 2/3 support for all AV systems. Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network-related AV issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Live Event Support: Set up, operate, and provide technical support for internal and external live events, including all-hands meetings, executive presentations, and webcasts.
Maintenance & Upgrades: Perform regular preventative maintenance, firmware updates, and system health checks to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Proactively identify and recommend system upgrades and new technologies.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all AV systems, including signal flow diagrams, technical specifications, and user guides.
Vendor Management: Collaborate with and manage relationships with AV integrators, manufacturers, and service providers to ensure successful project delivery and support.
User Training: Train and empower employees to effectively use the AV technology and systems available to them.
Project Management: Manage AV-related projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
Required:
3-5+ years of hands-on experience as an AV Engineer or Senior AV Technician in a corporate environment.
In-depth knowledge of core AV technologies, including video conferencing systems (Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms), control systems (Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS), and audio DSPs (Biamp, Q-SYS).
Strong understanding of AV signal flow, video resolutions, audio standards, and network protocols (TCP/IP, H.323, SIP, Dante).
Experience troubleshooting complex AV systems and reading technical schematics.
Proven ability to manage and support high-profile live events.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Excellent business acumen and work ethic.
Arrive on time, prepare and a proactive mindset - ie, have contingency plans for unexpected events and issues.
Preferred:
Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Industry certifications such as AVIXA CTS, CTS-D, or manufacturer-specific certifications (Crestron, Biamp, etc.).
Experience with enterprise-level video streaming and content delivery networks.
Familiarity with IT infrastructure, including networking and unified communications.
Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth technology company.
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in AV, Broadcast, or Events
Administration skills on Zoom
Familiarity with computers and IP Networking Systems.
Must possess outstanding communications skills
Experience and demonstrated ability in conflict resolution and customer service techniques
