Automation QA Engineer

Job Description

You will be responsible for promoting, designing, and implementing automated testing to improve the quality of multiple products, focusing on our core products. You will play a key role in leading the efficiency of the quality assurance process and accelerating collaboration with global development teams.

Responsibilities

Develop and strategize automation test plans
Design, develop, operate, and maintain automation tests
Integrate and manage automation tests in CI/CD environments
Promote QA process improvements and testing efficiency
Communicate with development teams, product managers, and stakeholders, sharing quality issues
Analyze bugs, investigate causes, and propose improvements

Team Structure

You will be assigned to the QA team, which is responsible for QA tasks across multiple products.

Required Skills And Experience

At least 3 years of experience in automation testing
Practical experience with test frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.
Experience in test planning, design, and execution as a QA engineer
Experience in creating test cases and scenarios
Knowledge and experience in software quality management
Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English communication (This role requires high English proficiency due to the global, hybrid team structure, and effective communication across distributed teams.)

Preferred Skills

Experience in integrating tests into CI/CD environments using Jenkins or GitHub Actions
Experience in web application development (either backend or frontend)
Experience working in a startup or agile environment
Experience conducting performance and load testing
Knowledge and experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, etc.)
Experience leading or mentoring a QA team as a QA engineer
