AutoCAD Engineer/Designer

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Engineer/Designer for a contract-to-hire opportunity. In this role, you will be responsible for producing precise technical drawings and CAD models that support engineering and construction teams. This position offers the potential for permanent placement based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings for engineering and construction projects
• Interpret technical data, sketches, and design notes to produce high-quality drawings
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project teams to revise and update plans
• Ensure all designs meet applicable codes, industry standards, and internal guidelines
• Manage drawing documentation and version control throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate with field personnel to confirm site measurements and drawing accuracy
• Assist in generating project documentation including material take-offs and technical specs
• Participate in design review meetings and contribute to process improvements

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, Civil 3D, or SolidWorks is a plus
• Minimum 2 years of CAD drafting/design experience in a professional setting
• Solid understanding of engineering drawings, construction documents, and technical standards
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced project environment
