Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manage and support database systems in production environments.
• Ensure high availability and performance of various databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, and patch management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database-related issues efficiently.
• Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.
• Maintain database security and access controls in line with best practices.
• Ensure compliance with standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
• Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and operations.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and support teams to optimize database integration and support.
• Generate and review detailed reports on database activities, incidents, and performance metrics.

Skills Required:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in database management and support, with a focus on production operations.
• Strong technical background with expertise in various database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Relevant database certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, MySQL Database Administrator, and PostgreSQL Certified Professional.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and generating detailed reports.
• Understanding of database security principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field
