As an Assistant Manager - Procurement, you will be responsible for managing IT procurement, ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition of software, hardware, IT licenses, and security tools. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize procurement processes, negotiate with vendors, and contribute to the company’s revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. IT Procurement & Vendor Management
Identify, evaluate, and onboard IT vendors and suppliers for software, hardware, and IT services.
Negotiate contracts and pricing for IT licenses, security tools, SaaS solutions, and hardware.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry best practices.
Track renewals and licensing agreements to avoid disruptions.
2. Strategic Sourcing & Cost Optimization
Analyze market trends and anticipate supply chain risks.
Develop strategies to optimize procurement costs without compromising quality.
Manage RFPs, RFQs, and purchase agreements for IT-related purchases.
Ensure seamless procurement support for IT, Tech, HR, Business Ops, Call Center, and ML teams.
3. Stakeholder & Vendor Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
Work closely with Sales, Risk, and Operations teams to align procurement with business goals.
Address and resolve procurement-related challenges efficiently.
4. Process Improvement & Compliance
Continuously improve procurement processes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, budgets, and financial expenditures.
Ensure adherence to IT security and compliance standards.
Key Requirements:
Mandatory Screening Criteria (Must-Have): ✅
✔ IT Procurement Experience:
Strong knowledge of software, hardware, SaaS tools, IT security licenses, and Freshworks.
Hands-on experience in managing IT hardware and software procurement.
✔ Experience:
Graduate: 6-8 years OR MBA: 3-5 years.
Startup exposure: 2-3 years preferred.
Consulting experience: 1-2 years preferred.
✔ Problem-Solving & Decision-Making:
Ability to analyze procurement challenges, identify solutions, and drive cost savings.
Experience in negotiating vendor contracts with a data-driven approach.
✔ Strong Stakeholder Management:
Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams (IT, Tech, Ops, Finance, etc.).
Strong communication and vendor relationship skills.
✔ Financial & Commercial Acumen:
Ability to track procurement budgets, analyze financial impact, and drive savings.
Knowledge of procurement compliance and contract management.
Preferred (Good-to-Have) Skills:
