Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain Artifactory, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with development teams to streamline build and release management processes.
  • Utilize scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Groovy for automation and issue resolution.
  • Provide technical support and expert guidance on Artifactory best practices and usage.
  • Integrate Artifactory with CI/CD pipelines and ensure secure and reliable artifact management.
  • Work with cloud infrastructure (preferably Azure) and containerization tools like Docker.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to Linux servers and databases.
  • Coordinate with global teams to gather business requirements and implement effective solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging tools and trends to continuously improve the Artifactory environment.
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables.

Experience Requirement:

  • 11 to 15 years of hands-on experience in administering and managing enterprise-grade Artifactory environments.
  • Proven expertise in scripting for automation using Bash, Python, and Groovy in a DevOps context.
  • Solid experience working on Linux-based systems, including performance tuning, patching, and security configurations.
  • Strong background in integrating Artifactory with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience in managing large-scale repository configurations, permission schemes, and replication setups.
  • Exposure to cloud environments like Azure or AWS, with experience in deploying Artifactory on Kubernetes or Docker containers.
  • In-depth understanding of software artifact lifecycle management and binary repository best practices.
  • Experience in implementing Artifactory HA (High Availability) and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Familiarity with web server configuration (NGINX or Apache) and reverse proxy setup for Artifactory.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead incident resolution and root cause analysis for Artifactory-related issues.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) for system health and performance metrics.
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and drive adoption of best practices across teams.
