Job Title: Application Support Engineer (Retail Applications)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Application Support Engineer with a strong technical background in Linux, SQL, and Reporting Tools to provide production and UAT application support for our retail applications. The ideal candidate should have experience in supporting or implementing Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and Loan Management Systems (LMS) from vendors like Ebix (Indus), Nucleus (FinnOne), or Pennant Technology. This role involves troubleshooting issues, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring smooth production activities while adhering to security and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Support: Provide Production and UAT application support for all retail applications.
• Troubleshooting: Analyze and resolve minor and major system problems in a timely manner and escalate issues when necessary.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure the closure of Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT), AppSec, and Infosec points.
• Production Activities: Plan and oversee production activities, ensuring minimal downtime and disruptions.
• Vendor Coordination: Collaborate and follow up with vendors for issue tracking, troubleshooting, and closure.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work across multiple internal teams and stakeholders to ensure efficient issue resolution and smooth operations.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and application performance metrics. Generate reports as needed.
• System Monitoring: Monitor the health and performance of Linux and Windows servers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Linux & Windows Servers: Proficient with Linux commands and general Windows server management.
• SQL/RDBMS: Ability to write complex SQL queries for MS SQL or Oracle databases. Knowledge of PL/SQL is a plus.
• Reporting Tools: Familiarity with various reporting tools and their integration with applications.
• Application Servers: Hands-on experience with WebLogic and/or Tomcat is an added advantage.
• Loan Origination/Management Systems: Preferably has experience with Ebix (Indus), FinnOne (Nucleus), or Pennant Technology LOS/LMS applications.
• API Applications: Experience in supporting or implementing API-based applications.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills for issue analysis and troubleshooting.
• Security & Compliance: Familiar with addressing VAPT, AppSec, and Infosec issues in production environments.
• Team Collaboration: A good team player capable of working across multiple groups in a demanding environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in the implementation or support of LOS/LMS or API applications.
• Familiarity with WebLogic and Tomcat for application deployment and management.
• Vendor management experience, particularly with resolving technical issues in coordination with third-party vendors.
