Application Database Admin

REQUESTED SKILLS

o Analyze existing database systems and recommend improvements.

o Create and maintain database objects

o Monitor and complete DBA ‘Requests for Change’

o Create, manage, and follow up on vendor support tickets.

o Work with DBA staff on identifying and troubleshooting database issues

o Communicate with end-user application areas regarding database design, performance, availability, and any other issues encountered.

o Maintains understanding of enterprise jobs and communicates changes or conflicts to appropriate areas.

o Work with the Security team to enforce security policies and remediate vulnerabilities.

o Support the Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes used by the enterprise. Support includes:

Mapping design and troubleshooting.

Workflow runtime and troubleshooting.

ETL connectivity support.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools.

• Experience with Linux/Unix

• Experience with Oracle Database products

• Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills

• Adept at database design, documentation, and coding

• Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, and integrity.

• Conceptual understanding of AWS and Oracle Cloud technologies

• Experience with Gitlab and Terraform

• Experience with database modeling and tools
