Position Summary
The Application Analyst serves as a clinical liaison between the Corporate IS Department and the Psychiatric Institute of Washington (PIW). This role encompasses implementation, support, and maintenance of clinical information systems, particularly Cerner. The Application Analyst is responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software, managing problem resolution, workflow redesign, system testing, and change management. Additionally, the role includes providing training and ongoing education to facility employees and physicians, ensuring efficient use of clinical information systems.
Qualifications
Education
- Required: Associate Degree in a related field.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience
- Required: 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in a clinical or IT-related role.
Licensure/Certification
- Clinical knowledge required. Appropriate licensure preferred.
Specialized Skills and Knowledge
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows and operational processes.
- Minimum of two years of direct patient care experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Advanced working knowledge of clinical information systems (Cerner) preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with clinicians to develop software specifications and process improvement workflows.
- Confidence in interacting with physicians and clinicians at all levels.
- General IT knowledge, including basic troubleshooting of computers, laptops, networks, and peripherals.
- Excellent English proficiency, with strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
