This role will play a key part in developing a highly complex enterprise application hosted on the OpenShift platform and in setting up vendor software like Exstream Cloud Native. The engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable, secure Kubernetes-based infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on container orchestration, CI/CD automation, and cloud-native development. Responsibilities also include scripting for automation, managing multiple clusters, and integrating with tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
To be successful in this position, one needs to be a hands-on, collaborative engineer with a strong grasp of OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm. A deep understanding of networking, RBAC, container security best practices, and performance optimization within a Kubernetes environment is essential. The ideal candidate should also be comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile setting and passionate about building modular applications using microservices, Kafka, and other modern technologies. Familiarity with 15-factor app methodology and secure coding practices is highly valued.
