Overview:
We are seeking a talented Ansible Zerto Developer to join our team and play a key role in developing
automation solutions for self-service VM migration. The successful candidate will be responsible for
designing and implementing controlled and governed workflows that integrate with capacity
management and network systems. This role requires expertise in both Zerto and Ansible to create
efficient and secure migration processes for internal Business Units (BUs).
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement automation solutions to enable self-service VM migration for internal
Business Units (BUs).
• Design and build controlled and governed automation workflows that integrate with capacity
management and network systems to perform pre-requisite checks.
• Leverage Zerto and vMotion technologies to create workflows for bulk migration and ad-
hoc/small batch migration.
• Implement safeguards through RFC approval and entitlement validation with oversight from
Operations or Support teams.
• Collaborate with the Operations Team to manually perform migrations if the environment is not
yet ready (MVP5).
Project Stages (MVP):
• MVP1: Develop scripts/playbooks for basic bulk VM migration, triggered by administrators.
• MVP2: Support ad-hoc single/small batch migrations, also triggered by administrators.
• MVP3: Implement automated validation for capacity, network, and entitlement checks using
RFC approval before allowing migrations.
• MVP4: Enable BU teams to propose/request bulk wave migrations with Operations review and
approval, allowing partial self-service.
• MVP5: Develop a full self-service automation portal (using AWX, ServiceNow) for BUs to initiate
migrations under automated governance controls, minimizing manual Operations involvement.
Must-Have Skills:
• Strong experience with Zerto for VM migration and disaster recovery solutions.
• Familiarity with vMotion and related virtualization technologies.
• Experience in developing automation workflows and integrating with capacity management and
network systems.
• Understanding of governance and compliance in automated systems. Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with AWX, ServiceNow, or similar platforms for automation and service
management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
