Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and enhance RESTful APIs.
  • Focus on automation of operational activities across RedHat Linux, Windows, and Virtualization platforms.
  • Contribute to the development of templates and playbooks on the Ansible Automation Platform (AAP).
  • Define, create, and manage Ansible roles.
  • Implement secrets management for applications using standard tools.
  • Increase speed of provisioning, availability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with Agile Teams, Architects, and Product Owners to identify and implement optimal solutions.
  • Ensure automation solutions meet compliance and audit requirements.
  • Develop and test automation using Ansible Playbooks and Jenkins via API calls.
  • Manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and code management using GitHub.
  • Work with agile practices and toolsets including JIRA and Confluence.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and work with globally distributed teams.
  • Develop scripts in PowerShell or Bash with an understanding of Server Operating Systems.

Skills Required:

Must-Have:

  • DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline management
  • Python scripting for automation
  • Ansible Automation Platform (playbooks, roles, templates)
  • Automation of operational activities on Linux, Windows, and Virtualization platforms
  • Compliance and audit-aware automation solutions
  • Version control using GitHub
  • Agile collaboration with JIRA and Confluence
  • Shell scripting (PowerShell/Bash)

Nice-to-Have:

  • RESTful API design and development
  • Experience with secrets management tools
  • Performance optimization and provisioning improvements
  • Knowledge of globally distributed team coordination
