AI/ML Engineer

We are looking for a Lead AI/ML Engineer to join our Fortune 100 financial client, Wells Fargo, based in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have deep experience designing scalable back-end systems using Python and Java, building end-to-end ML pipelines, and leading engineering teams in delivering production-grade AI solutions.

 Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop robust backend systems using Python and Java, integrating AI/ML capabilities into production environments.
Architect and implement ML pipelines, including data preprocessing, training, and model deployment.
Collaborate with data scientists to convert research models into scalable, high-performance services.
Drive MLOps best practices: model versioning, CI/CD for ML, performance monitoring, and retraining workflows.
Lead and mentor engineers on AI development standards, clean code, and system design.
Work closely with business stakeholders to translate goals into AI-driven solutions.
Evaluate and adopt the latest tools in cloud AI, deep learning, and automated ML.

 Must-Have Qualifications:
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in technical leadership roles.
Strong programming experience in Python and Java.
Hands-on experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn or similar.
Proven experience in deploying ML models using REST APIs, batch processing, or real-time inference.
Solid knowledge of MLOps, DevOps pipelines, version control (Git), CI/CD.
Familiar with AWS, Azure, or GCP along with Docker/Kubernetes.
Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design
