Key Duties and Responsibilities 

Develop competence in one or more SimAI products and be recognized as an expert, both internally and externally. 

Motivate others towards a common goal. Boast desire to get involved. Instill confidence in others. 

Work with Customers & Application Engineers to understand emerging needs / requirements and create product specifications. 

Check new product features & ensure they meet requirements and quality control. 

Provide expertise to application engineers and customers in deploying advanced solutions, provide guidance, implement scripts for integrated workflows. 

Develop new and non-standard product workflows that extend the SimAI platform capabilities and can ultimately be turned into features. 

Early tester and advocate of unreleased and alpha features, in order to loop rapid feedback back to the product development team before the release. 

Learn and adapt to change, establish priorities, handle various tasks simultaneously, while working under pressure or in critical situations. 

Perform product presentations and demonstrations, internally and externally, addressing both entry-level and expert-level audience. 

Evangelize AI capabilities while remaining knowledgeable and realistic with the audience’s expectations. 

Answer undocumented product-related questions in a polite and prompt manner while triggering documentation requests when appropriate. 

Make helpful product recommendations and suggestions to increase revenue or market share. 

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience 

Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 5 years of combined experience in Machine Learning, engineering, computer aided engineering (CAE) simulations. 

Working experience as an application engineer in AI (preferred) or in CAE products. 

Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. 

Proficient in programming languages, specifically Python 

Commercial experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras or MXNet  

Strong understanding of linear algebra, calculus, probability and statistics to apply deep learning algorithms 

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills 

Commercial experience with AI specific software design, including extensive knowledge of state-of-the-art in AI/ML, model architecture design, model training, model testing and production. 

Problem-Solving strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose, identify and solve complex technical workflows. 

Understanding of customer requirements and tools used in this domain 

Ability to navigate highly complex topics with great uncertainty. 

Experience with full end-to-end simulation process from geometry design to solution, to post-processing. 

Awareness of industry trends towards automation and making simulation more accessible, requiring workflows that are fast, accurate, and easy-to-use. 

Familiar or willing to learn how to bring cutting edge R&D innovations into productized workflows and features. 

Tools and Software proficiency with scripting, cloud technology and product tools, such as ticketing systems (e.g., Shortcut, Jira), Python, Docker, etc... 

International collaboration ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team 

Passion for crafting robust and efficient code 

Experience delivering high-quality support for large-scale commercial software
