Responsibilities
Reporting to a Managing Director within the Automation Business Unit, the Director will be responsible for:
Practice Vision, Strategy, and Leadership:
Contributing to the development and execution of the overall vision, strategies for growth, and guiding principles for the Automation Business Unit, ensuring alignment with Perficient and Partner goals.
Supporting the General Manager/Managing Director in business unit goal setting, strategic planning, implementation, and ongoing management.
Building and maintaining strong relationships across Perficient to foster collaboration and support top-line revenue growth.
Continuously assessing market trends and competitive landscapes to inform and refine practice strategies and goals.
Guiding and mentoring Director-level colleagues on initiatives that support the broader practice objectives.
Sales, Marketing, and Alliances:
Collaborating with Alliance and Marketing teams to define and execute the go-to-market strategy for Automation solutions, maintaining comprehensive roadmaps for key offerings.
Supporting the Alliance function by representing Perficient to senior partner leadership, participating in Partner events and QBRs, and contributing to joint marketing and sales planning efforts.
Leading and supporting critical business development activities, including pre-sales discussions, estimation and proposal development, presentations and pitches, negotiations, and Statement of Work (SOW) creation.
Guiding the development of compelling sales collateral and enablement materials on Perficient's Automation capabilities for sales and senior delivery resources.
Supporting account expansion strategies for strategic and enterprise clients.
Partnering with Marketing to plan and drive external awareness of Perficient's Automation expertise and successes.
Delivery & Team Leadership (as applicable):
Collaborating with Operations and Practice Directors to establish and maintain delivery frameworks, standards, methodologies, and tools specific to Automation solutions to ensure successful client engagements.
Working with Operations and Delivery Directors to define delivery success criteria, track performance, and monitor project outcomes, including the review of key deliverables as needed.
Providing strategic and technical advisory services to Perficient clients and consultants.
Serving as a point of escalation for delivery-related issues and facilitating escalation to partner organizations when necessary.
Maintaining a billable goal of up to 20% through participation in strategy engagements, assessments, and client leadership roles.
Practice Management and People:
Participating in recruiting efforts and resource management activities to ensure alignment of skills with key practice needs.
Understanding Perficient's colleague career paths and development frameworks, and providing support to Directors and managers in guiding their teams.
Serving as a career counselor and mentor to high-potential individuals within the Automation Business Unit.
Actively participating in, driving, and/or owning internal practice initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and colleague engagement.
Collaborating with Practice Directors to define, develop, and/or guide training programs to support the professional development of Automation consultants.
Knowledge Management:
Propagating strategic insights and thought leadership in Automation with clients, internal Perficient leaders, and Perficient business partners.
Establishing and cultivating deep subject-matter expertise in Automation services and related industries and technologies.
Serving as the steward of knowledge management repositories for sales and delivery templates, promoting consistency and knowledge sharing.
Supporting the alignment and growth of Perficient's Global Delivery Center (GDC) through the establishment of Practice-level thought leadership and best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in the consulting industry, with a focus on digital transformation and Automation solutions (Appian, ServiceNow, or AI).
Proven experience working with and creating AI Solutions or Digital Process Automation Service Offerings.
Proven track record of developing and executing strategic initiatives that drive revenue growth.
Strong understanding of Digital Process Automation and other digital solutions relevant to the industry.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
Experience in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry leaders.
Ability to travel as needed to support client engagements and industry events.
