Description

Accessibility Evaluation and Implementation:

  • Integrate and maintain accessibility features within the CMS.
  • Develop and enforce accessibility guidelines and best practices for content creators and developers.
  • Conduct regular accessibility audits on digital content and CMS interfaces using both automated tools and manual testing methods.
  • Identify and remediate accessibility issues in compliance with WCAG 2.2, Section 508, and other relevant international standards and regulations.
  • Experience in CMS templates and design system development.
  • Develop and implement accessibility strategies and roadmaps.
  • Perform manual and automated accessibility testing using tools such as JAWS, NVDA, Axe, and others including GitHub Co-pilot.
  • Experience in Adobe API accessibility and other technologies.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including UX/UI designers, developers, content strategists, and QA testers to ensure accessibility requirements are met
  • Document and report accessibility issues, track remediation efforts and validate fixes.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance CMS accessibility processes and tools
  • Create and maintain guidelines, checklists, and best practices for accessible content creation and design.
  • Provide clear and actionable recommendations for improving accessibility in existing and new documentation.

 

Training and Support:

  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for staff on accessibility best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Provide expert advice and support to cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, content writers, and product managers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest accessibility trends, tools, and technologies.

 

Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of experience in web and documentation accessibility.

 

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, CMS, and ARIA landmarks, including hands-on experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore).
  • Experience in Figma and Miro
  • Experience with assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers, magnifiers).
  • Familiarity with accessibility evaluation tools (e.g., WAVE, Axe, Lighthouse, linters, crawlers, and a11y APIs).
