ABAP Developer

We are looking for an experienced ABAP Developer to join our team and work on enhancing our Payroll SF system, specifically in the Employee Center and Compensation modules. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ABAP coding, a deep understanding of security compliance in payroll systems, and experience with risk and compliance controls. The role requires the ability to handle high-pressure situations, assess urgency, and ensure timely delivery of software solutions. DevOps/CICD experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Write programs in ABAP to meet both functional and non-functional criteria, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Configure systems in production environments to ensure smooth functionality.
• Develop and maintain ABAP code for SAP ECP enhancements, custom reports, interfaces, and data transfers to meet business requirements
• Collaborate with the HR Product organization team to ensure that ABAP developments align with business processes and functional specifications.
• Report progress, issues, and updates to the Head of Tech and Scrum Master regularly.
• Define technical solutions for IT bottlenecks in new and existing software systems.
• Perform quality checks on code and resolve recurring incidents.
• Install and test applications, ensuring proper functionality before deployment.
• Ensure compliance with information security, data privacy, license compliance, and audit controls for all delivered products.
• Design, maintain, and enhance software solutions as part of the application lifecycle management
• Translate business criteria and customer needs into technical solutions in close collaboration with the Head of Tech.
• Describe technical solutions for user stories or complex systems that meet customer needs while ensuring system manageability.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in ABAP coding, particularly in the context of SAP Payroll SF systems.
• Expertise in the Employee Center and Compensation modules.
• Deep understanding of security compliance around payroll systems and the ability to handle risk and compliance changes.
• Ability to assess the urgency of tasks and prioritize effectively under pressure.
• Experience in writing clear, maintainable, and efficient ABAP code.
• Strong communication skills, particularly in working with cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to perform quality assurance on code and systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CICD) processes.
• Familiarity with SAP ECP enhancements, custom reports, interfaces, and data transfer requirements.
• Knowledge of application lifecycle management processes.

Certifications

SAP-related certifications (e.g., SAP ABAP Certification) would be a plus.

Any relevant certifications in DevOps or security compliance would also be beneficial
