ABAP Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled CDS Developer to join our data engineering and analytics team. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in data extraction and modeling, especially from SAP Datasphere and Salesforce platforms, as well as proficiency in modern data warehousing and business intelligence tools such as Snowflake and Power BI.

This role will involve working closely with business stakeholders, SAP teams, and cross-functional technical resources to design, implement, and maintain efficient, scalable data solutions that support business intelligence and analytics efforts across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support data extraction and transformation needs.
• Utilize Snowflake infrastructure for developing scalable data warehouse solutions.
• Implement best practices in data warehousing including handling changing dimensions, fact table modeling, and data integrity checks.
• Extract and integrate data from Salesforce Data Cloud, Salesforce Workbench, and browse Salesforce objects for analytics purposes.
• Work extensively with SAP Datasphere and CDS Views for data extraction and modeling.
• Collaborate with SAP functional/technical teams and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver appropriate technical solutions.
• Design, build, and deploy Power BI dashboards, reports, datasets, data models, workspaces, and apps for decision support.

Must-Have Skills:

• Advanced SQL development – including stored procedures, complex joins, window functions, and performance tuning.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture and tools.
• In-depth understanding of data warehousing concepts including star/snowflake schemas, SCDs, and fact/dimension tables.
• Proven experience with Salesforce data extraction and manipulation.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere and Core Data Services (CDS) Views.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with business users, analysts, and SAP teams.
• Solid experience with Power BI – report creation, data modeling, and publishing.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in complex data loading pipelines from SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce, and FTP file sources.
• Knowledge of material handling or heavy equipment industry processes and ability to translate domain requirements into technical solutions.
• Familiarity with S/4HANA data models and in-depth understanding of CDS view architecture.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric for data architecture and analytics configuration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering or business intelligence roles.
• Certifications in Snowflake, Power BI, or SAP Analytics are a plus
